Talent Priority:

  • With the right combo and rotation, it's worth upgrading the normals to get some damage from the passive.

  • This way you can go 9/10/10.

Important: On most teams the correct combination is bow ultimate, elemental daggers, two basics, one charge, 6s and rotas and upon returning dagger ultimate.

Constellation Recommendation:

  • Honestly, C0 does its job very well, and although it has a good C6, it is not worth spending so much.

Video Summary

Tartaglia Build Guide

This Tartaglia build guide focuses on his role as a premier on-field Hydro enabler who utilizes the unique Riptide mechanic to deal massive area damage. By mastering his cooldown management and optimal rotations, players can leverage his high Hydro application to trigger powerful elemental reactions across various team comps.

Best Weapons

  • Polar Star: This is the best weapon for Tartaglia as it provides high critical rate and increases his attack through its passive. It perfectly complements his kit by rewarding normal and charged attacks during his melee stance.
  • Aqua Simulacra: A top-tier five-star option that offers massive critical damage and a damage bonus when enemies are nearby. It is ideal for players looking to maximize his burst damage and overall scaling in close-range combat.
  • Rust: This four-star bow is a strong choice for a sub-DPS or main DPS build focusing on normal attacks. It significantly boosts normal attack damage, though it slightly penalizes charged attacks, making it a reliable budget-friendly alternative.
  • Viridescent Hunt: This weapon provides critical rate and a unique passive that groups enemies together. It is particularly effective for Tartaglia because it helps concentrate enemies to maximize the splash damage from his Riptide procs.

Best Artifacts

  • Heart of Depth: This is one of the best artifact sets for a Hydro DPS build. It provides a permanent Hydro damage bonus and increases normal and charged attack damage after using an elemental skill.
  • Shimenawa's Reminiscence: This set is excellent for players focusing on charged attacks and raw power. While it consumes energy, it provides a massive damage boost to his melee stance attacks at the cost of burst frequency.
  • Gladiator's Finale: Often used in two-piece combinations with other sets, this provides a flexible attack boost. It is a great way to optimize resources while maintaining high consistent damage across all of his combat talents.

Teams and Stat Priorities

  • For stat priorities, aim for 1900 to 2000 Attack, a 66% to 69% Critical Rate, and 180% to 200% Critical Damage, while maintaining 115% to 120% Energy Recharge.
  • The International Vape team featuring Bennett, Xiangling, and Kazuha remains his strongest composition. This setup uses double swirls and Pyronado to trigger massive Vaporize hits while Tartaglia applies constant Hydro on-field.
  • The Intergracional Burgeon team utilizes Nahida, Bennett, and Kazuha to create explosive Dendro reactions. Tartaglia acts as the primary Hydro driver, enabling consistent seeds that are then detonated by Pyro for high area damage.
  • A Taser team with Beidou and Fischl focuses on Electro-Charged reactions and high off-field damage. This composition is excellent for multi-target scenarios where Tartaglia can trigger constant chain lightning through his fast attack speed.
