The Genshin Impact 6.2 Beta continues to surprise players with more revelations this time centered around a new gameplay mechanic known as the Arcane Rite effect, which grants special buffs to characters connected to the mysterious witch organization, the Hexenzirkel. This unique effect seems to be part of the broader witch-themed narrative that HoYoverse is building for upcoming updates, tying together key characters like Klee, Mona, Albedo, and Sucrose all of whom share deep lore ties to the Hexenzirkel.
The Arcane Rite Effect: A Witch’s Blessing
The Arcane Rite effect appears to enhance the abilities of characters associated with witchcraft, alchemy, and arcane knowledge. Once active, this effect significantly boosts certain skills, passives, or reaction bonuses, making these characters more powerful and better synergized for team compositions built around Elemental Reactions and sustained DPS.
Durin – The Pyro Sword of the Arcane Rite
As part of his debut in version 6.2, Durin, a 5-star Pyro Sword character, benefits heavily from the Arcane Rite. All effects of his passive talent “Luminar Abides by the Divine Calculus” except for its duration are increased by 75%, making his already impressive elemental reaction damage even more devastating. With his Melt and Vaporize multipliers, Durin is shaping up to be one of the most powerful Pyro DPS units introduced in recent updates.
Venti – Archon of the Winds Reforged
The Anemo Archon Venti also receives significant buffs. While his Elemental Burst “Wind’s Grand Ode” is active, any nearby character who triggers a Swirl reaction gains a 50% elemental damage bonus for 4 seconds, while the Stormeye itself deals 135% of its original damage. This change turns Venti into not only a crowd-control specialist but also a strong reaction enabler capable of enhancing the team’s elemental synergy.
Klee – The Explosive Genius Returns Stronger
Klee, another key member of the Hexenzirkel, gains a new stacking mechanic called “Boom Boost.” When her attacks hit enemies, she earns up to three stacks of this effect, lasting 20 seconds each. Depending on the number of stacks (1/2/3), Klee’s Charged Attacks deal 115%/130%/150% of their original damage. This greatly boosts her sustained DPS potential, encouraging players to mix Normal, Skill, and Burst attacks in combat rotations.
Albedo – Refined Alchemy and Teamwide Buffs
Albedo’s new buffs focus on his role as both a support and a damage dealer. When he hits enemies with his Elemental Skill, he creates a Refined Argent Field lasting 10 seconds (up to two can exist). After casting Solar Isotoma, the team gains +4% All DMG per 1000 DEF for 20 seconds (capped at +12%). Additionally, when a Refined Field is active, Hexenzirkel characters gain +10% All DMG per 1000 DEF for 20 seconds (max +30%). This makes Albedo a crucial support for DEF-scaling or reaction-based teams.
Mona – Extending the Power of Illusions
Mona also benefits from powerful changes that emphasize her Hydro reaction potential. Her Normal and Charged Attacks generate Illusory Bubbles (max 3 stacks for 8 seconds). When allies trigger Vaporize, all stacks are consumed, granting a +10% DMG bonus per stack. Additionally, her attacks now extend Omen duration by up to 8 seconds, dramatically increasing her Burst’s damage amplification window.
Sucrose – Wind Spirits of Empowerment
Sucrose, known for her crowd control and Elemental Mastery sharing, now provides even greater team support. After summoning a small Wind Spirit, nearby teammates gain +5.7% All DMG for 15 seconds. Summoning a large Wind Spirit grants +7.1% All DMG to nearby Hexenzirkel characters for 20 seconds, further cementing her place as one of the most valuable buffers for elemental-based teams.
Razor – Lightning Reborn
Although not directly tied to the Hexenzirkel, Razor also benefits from the Arcane Rite’s influence. During his Elemental Burst, when his Electro Sigil stacks overflow, a lightning strike hits nearby enemies, dealing 150% ATK as AoE Electro DMG and restoring 7 Energy. This effect can occur once every second, enhancing Razor’s burst uptime and overall combat flow.
Fischl – Master of Oz and Elemental Reactions
Fischl gains major improvements to her synergy and supportive potential. When Oz is active, triggering Overload grants both Fischl and the active character +22.5% ATK for 10 seconds. When Electro-Charged or Lunar-Charged reactions occur, both receive +90 Elemental Mastery for 10 seconds. This makes Fischl an incredible reaction driver and sub-DPS for multi-element teams.
A Promising Era for Witch-Themed Characters
These adjustments suggest that version 6.2 will not only introduce new gameplay systems but also revitalize older characters by integrating them into new lore and combat mechanics. The Arcane Rite effect could become a long-term feature, potentially expanding to other witch-related figures like Alice and new Hexenzirkel members in future patches.
As the Genshin Impact 6.2 Beta continues to evolve, fans are eagerly awaiting official confirmation of these buffs and a deeper look into the long-rumored Hexenzirkel storyline one of the most mysterious and magical elements in Teyvat’s lore.
