The first details from the Genshin Impact 6.2 Beta have finally surfaced, revealing exciting new content and upcoming characters that will soon arrive in Teyvat. Although this is the initial beta version and everything is subject to change before the official release, the current leaks already paint an impressive picture of what to expect from version 6.2.
Among the most anticipated additions is Durin, a new 5-star Pyro Sword character. Durin’s kit focuses on enhancing Vaporize and Melt reactions, increasing their DMG by an impressive 40%. He is also reported to feature two unique illustrations and two sets of skill effects (STC), suggesting a more elaborate design and possibly dual forms or stances. Furthermore, Durin will have his own Story Quest in version 6.2, deepening his lore and connection to the world of Genshin Impact.
Joining him is Jahoda, a new 4-star Anemo Bow user. While she currently only has one known illustration, her inclusion may add a fresh dynamic to the roster of Anemo support and sub-DPS units. Both Durin and Jahoda will have their NameCards and Constellation Art available in this update.
New World Boss: BOBIK??
The update introduces a brand-new World Boss known as BOBIK??, who appears to be under Fatui control. This boss may feature completely new combat mechanics, possibly including a rescue mission-style encounter and a training mode to earn unique materials required for character ascensions and weapon upgrades.
New Signature Weapons
Durin’s signature sword, Radiance of the Daylight King, boasts a Base ATK of 608 and 33.1% CRIT Rate. It increases Elemental Burst DMG by 16%, and upon hitting an opponent with an Elemental Burst, it grants the Blade of Daylight effect. This effect boosts Durin’s own ATK by up to 32%, while also increasing teammates’ ATK by 24%. When the team is under the Arcane Rite effect, all these buffs receive a 75% bonus, even when Durin is off-field making this one of the strongest support-oriented DPS swords revealed so far.
In addition, a new 5-star bow for Venti, Dawn’s Awakening Song, will be introduced. With a Base ATK of 674 and 44.1% CRIT DMG, it provides a unique buff called Rising Dawnwind. After being out of combat for 3 seconds, the wielder gains up to 120% bonus DMG, which gradually decreases over time while in combat. Striking enemies with Normal Attacks, Skills, or Bursts restores this bonus, creating a high-risk, high-reward playstyle. The weapon also synergizes with the Arcane Rite effect, amplifying all types of DMG bonuses by up to 40%.
Free 4-Star Bow
Players will also receive a free 4-star bow, Whispers Beyond the Sacred Seat, with a Base ATK of 509 and 45.9% Energy Recharge. When the wielder’s attacks hit enemies while they are off-field, their ATK is increased by up to 56% for 8 seconds, making it ideal for sub-DPS or support characters who rely on quick rotations.
Events and Additional Content
Version 6.2 will bring back several beloved activities, including the return of the Windtrace Event, this time set in the icy region of Dragonspine. Players will also have the opportunity to choose one free 4-star character, allowing for greater flexibility in team building. Additionally, new TCG card styles will be available, expanding the popular Genius Invokation TCG mode with fresh cosmetic options.
Cameos and Voice Acting Updates
In terms of story and lore, several leaks hint that Alice—Klee’s mysterious mother—will make a cameo appearance as an NPC during this version. Moreover, new Hexenzirkel assets are expected, potentially teasing future witch-related storylines. Notably, some English voice actors such as Yelan’s and Itto’s have returned to record new lines, signaling upcoming story or event involvement.
