The Genshin Impact meta continues to evolve rapidly, and with a roster that now exceeds 120 playable characters, many players feel overwhelmed by traditional tier lists. A new in depth analysis proposes a different approach. Instead of ranking characters by letters, it examines the current meta without tier lists, focusing on practical performance, team value, and long term account decisions.

At the center of the discussion are main carries. Based on current data and gameplay results, the meta at C0 places Zibai at the very top, closely followed by Skirk and Nefer. Zibai stands out for her immediate strength at low investment, making her one of the most valuable options for free to play and returning players. However, her value shifts when constellations are considered. At higher constellations, Zibai scales poorly compared to other top carries, causing her to fall slightly behind in long term optimization.

When constellations and premium setups enter the equation, Nefer clearly emerges as the strongest carry in the game. With the right team and key constellation unlocks, Nefer leads the best performing team overall, offering unmatched consistency and damage output. Flins follows closely behind, especially when supported by optimal constellations and weapons. Mavuika and Skirk remain elite options, with their ranking depending heavily on team composition and support investment.

Several popular characters sit just below the absolute top. Varesa and Arlecchino have benefited from newer support cores, while Mualani has improved due to recent buffs and new reaction focused teams. On the other hand, Kinich is widely considered the weakest aging carry in the current meta, with little expectation of future improvement. Varka, despite high anticipation and strong visual appeal, does not currently rank within the top ten carries and is viewed as a risky pull from a purely power focused perspective.

Beyond carries, the analysis emphasizes that supports define the meta more than ever. The most influential supports are those that function across multiple teams. Furina, Columbina, and Mavuika are highlighted as the three strongest global supports, with Columbina in particular shaping the entire meta around lunar reactions. Her synergy with Ineffa forms the strongest support core in the game, revitalizing multiple characters and enabling stable off field damage.

Among newer supports, Lauma stands out as a meta defining unit. She is not only the best support for Nefer, but also outperforms even Nahida in certain reaction teams. Lauma’s ability to enable healing and reaction consistency places her at the heart of the strongest teams in the game. This marks a rare moment where a non Archon support surpasses an Archon in overall impact.

Some five star supports are categorized as situational or optional. Escoffier excels mainly in Skirk teams, Citlali offers limited value outside specific reaction setups, and Xilonen remains largely restricted to Natlan focused teams. Durin still provides value for mid tier carries like Varesa and Mualani, but is no longer essential for top tier optimization.

Looking ahead, the analysis suggests that the meta will continue to rotate around new regions and reaction systems, particularly with Nod Krai and potential future changes in Snezhnaya. Physical teams, Cryo focused mechanics, and new Geo units may reshape existing compositions. There is also speculation that future characters like Sandrone or Nicole could redefine underperforming teams, including Varka’s.

The key takeaway is clear. For players aiming to build strong accounts, it is recommended to own at least two of the five best teams in the game. Characters outside this group can still clear content and remain enjoyable, but they are unlikely to gain future dominance. The meta without tier lists emphasizes clarity over hype, rewarding players who understand team cores, support value, and realistic scaling rather than chasing rankings.
