Genshin Impact 7.1 Sets Final Stats for Vesna and Vodyanitsa’s Weapons

HoYoverse has published the final Level 90 and Refinement Rank 1 details for Genshin Impact’s two new Version 7.1 five-star weapons. Beyond the Chrysalis is a CRIT DMG sword built around a fixed Skill-and-Burst sequence, while Hymn of the Maelstrom is an HP catalyst that turns healing and Frozen or Stellar Swirl triggers into extra support for the active character.

The official weapon overview went live on September 16, one week before Version 7.1 launches on September 23. It highlights three event-exclusive four-star weapons receiving boosted Event Wish drop rates: New Bough, Winter’s Heavy Heart and Breezeborne Refrain. It also says the event Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon will award Silver Light and its Refinement Materials.

Beyond the Chrysalis rewards a deliberate three-step sequence

Beyond the Chrysalis reaches 674 Base ATK and 44.10% CRIT DMG at Level 90. Its Refinement Rank 1 passive, Dance of Wings Unbound, activates whenever the wielder uses an Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst. Each activation grants the next effect in a fixed three-part sequence.

The first effect, Winds of Devotion, raises the wielder’s CRIT DMG by 56% for 10 seconds. The second, Winds of Defiance, raises the Stellar Swirl Reaction DMG dealt by the wielder by 36% for 10 seconds. The third, Winds of Plenty, restores 5 Elemental Energy. That final effect can restore up to 5 Energy through this method every four seconds.

The sequence matters as much as the individual numbers. A character cannot simply choose the CRIT DMG, reaction bonus or Energy restoration on demand. Skill and Burst uses advance through the three effects in order, so the value of the sword depends on how cleanly a character’s rotation lines up with that cycle. HoYoverse also states that the effects are removed and the sequence resets when the wielder leaves the field.

That field-time condition is an important limit. Beyond the Chrysalis clearly favors a wielder who performs repeated actions while remaining active long enough to use the accumulated bonuses. Swapping out early clears the active effects and sends the sequence back to its starting point. Players evaluating the weapon should therefore compare its full rotation behavior, not just the eye-catching 66% CRIT DMG line.

The sword’s profile naturally matches Vesna’s Version 7.1 rollout. HoYoverse has identified her as an Anemo Stellar Linchpin, and the new passive specifically increases Stellar Swirl Reaction DMG during its second stage. That connection is based on the official character and weapon descriptions, but final build comparisons will still depend on Vesna’s released talent values, Energy needs and practical rotation timing.

Beyond the Chrysalis uses Rise of the Pale Star Army, Hollow Root of Life and Chimeric Core among its listed Ascension Materials. The official card describes it as a light, nearly weightless longsword that was once used by an unnamed individual to break bonds. It is obtained through Wishes and is explicitly marked as an event-exclusive five-star weapon.

Hymn of the Maelstrom converts healing into party support

Hymn of the Maelstrom reaches 542 Base ATK and 66.20% HP at Level 90. Its passive, Rondo of Slumber, starts with a direct 4% Healing Bonus. The rest of the effect activates when the wielder performs healing, granting Vatsamonga’s Vatic Vintage for 10 seconds.

While that effect is active, the wielder’s Max HP rises by 4%. It also increases the current active party member’s ATK by 0.4% for every 1,000 Max HP the wielder has above 40,000. The ATK bonus obtained this way is capped at 8%. The effect can stack up to three times, which means the weapon rewards repeated healing events rather than a single isolated heal.

There is a second layer tied to team reactions. When a nearby party member triggers Frozen or Stellar Swirl, the Max HP and ATK boosts described in the passive are increased by 75% for five seconds. HoYoverse says this reaction condition can trigger while the catalyst wielder is off field, which is particularly relevant for a support expected to hand most of the active time to a teammate.

The wording creates several practical questions that players should test after release. The official card provides the percentages and duration, but it does not demonstrate the exact refresh behavior of multiple stacks, how the 75% increase is displayed in combat or which team rotations can maintain it most consistently. It is also worth separating the weapon’s own Healing Bonus from the conditional Max HP and active-character ATK effects, since they serve different purposes.

Hymn of the Maelstrom appears designed for Vodyanitsa’s already confirmed support role. HoYoverse’s earlier official overview described her as an off-field Hydro character who heals the active unit, improves interruption resistance and reduces enemy Hydro and Cryo Resistance. A catalyst that activates on healing and responds to Frozen naturally fits that profile. This does not automatically make it the best choice for every Vodyanitsa team, especially for players comparing it with lower-cost HP or Energy options, but the intended synergy is clear.

Its listed Ascension Materials include Measured Pour of the Cellared Spiritual Nectar, Accreted Fragment and Ethereal Glimmershard. Like Beyond the Chrysalis, Hymn of the Maelstrom is obtained through Wishes, is event-exclusive and will not be added to the standard banner.

The overview highlights three event-exclusive four-star weapons

The same announcement highlights boosted Event Wish drop rates for New Bough, Winter’s Heavy Heart and Breezeborne Refrain. These are a sword, catalyst and bow, respectively. It also identifies Silver Light as an event-exclusive sword obtainable with its Refinement Materials through Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon.

This weapon overview does not announce a complete five-weapon four-star rate-up lineup. Players should therefore avoid treating the three highlighted event-exclusive weapons as the full banner selection until HoYoverse publishes the detailed Event Wish notice.

The official cards settle the launch values players can use for initial planning: 674 Base ATK and 44.10% CRIT DMG for Beyond the Chrysalis, and 542 Base ATK with 66.20% HP for Hymn of the Maelstrom. What remains is practical testing after September 23. Rotation consistency, Energy demands, reaction uptime and the opportunity cost of pulling on the weapon banner will determine whether either signature is worth more than a character constellation or a weapon already in the player’s inventory.
