Genshin Impact 7.2 Leak Revises Mitya’s Support Kit and Adds a Valeriy Quill Buff

A new pair of unverified Genshin Impact 7.2 reports has outlined a more specific version of Mitya’s off-field support package and claimed that Valeriy has gained an additional Quill-related buff. Both posts attribute their information to the same leaker, LoveHappy, so they should be treated as one source chain rather than independent corroboration.

The Mitya report was distributed by Teyvat Leaks HQ on September 14. A separate Valeriy Mains post followed with the Quill claim and the same attribution. HoYoverse has not confirmed either character’s final Version 7.2 kit, and every value discussed below remains subject to change.

The latest Mitya leak lists four off-field benefits

The newly circulated Mitya card describes his current off-field role through four headline effects. It claims that he can provide a 14% damage increase, 120 Elemental Mastery at C0, 150 Elemental Mastery at C6 and a 25% reduction to enemies’ Cryo and Electro Resistance.

Those are much more specific figures than the broad descriptions attached to earlier reports. If accurate, the package would combine a general offensive buff, reaction-focused support and resistance reduction for two elements. That would make Mitya relevant to more than one damage calculation, but the leak does not provide complete official talent wording, target rules or effect durations.

The distinction matters. A teamwide damage increase, an Elemental Mastery bonus and enemy resistance reduction are separate effects. Their final value depends on who receives each buff, how long it lasts, what action activates it and whether another effect can refresh or stack with it. A list of percentages can suggest a role, but it cannot establish a complete rotation by itself.

The same card also describes an on-field CRIT-related effect that benefits Mitya himself rather than the full party. The circulated post does not present enough official-style text to establish every trigger and value safely, so that part should be treated as a directional note rather than a finalized mechanic.

The numbers differ from earlier Mitya reports

GamesAndChill has previously covered two earlier snapshots of Mitya’s reported kit. One September 1 report described a setup in which absorbing four Prisms unlocked his off-field functionality and provided 30 Elemental Mastery to the team. It also claimed that each Prism granted 5% CRIT Rate while Mitya was on field and that C1 removed an off-field restriction.

A later September 5 report shifted the focus to two summoned units created through his Skill and Burst, Polestar Field stack management and constellation effects. That report also described off-field attacks when both summons were present and a C6 interaction involving 20 Stellar-Conduct Elevate stacks.

The September 14 card now presents 120 Elemental Mastery at C0 and 150 at C6, not the earlier 30 Elemental Mastery figure. That difference is one of the clearest reasons not to combine every leak into a supposedly settled kit. The new post calls this Mitya’s current off-field role, but “current” in an unreleased test environment only identifies the latest reported snapshot. It does not make the values final.

The new list also does not explain how the 14% damage increase or 25% Cryo and Electro Resistance reduction connects to the previously reported Prism, summon and Polestar Field systems. Those mechanics could coexist, replace older wording or belong to different talent states. Until a fuller data source appears, the relationship remains unclear.

Valeriy reportedly receives an additional Quill buff

The Valeriy update is shorter. According to Valeriy Mains, citing LoveHappy, his kit has received an additional Quill buff on top of changes mentioned in an earlier post. The new report does not publish a value, stack limit, trigger condition, duration or affected character list for that Quill.

That missing context prevents a reliable damage estimate. “Quill” can describe a stored or limited damage-enhancing effect, but a familiar label does not guarantee that Valeriy’s version follows another character’s rules. It would be premature to assume its scaling stat, elemental restriction or interaction with Stellar-Conduct without the actual talent text.

Earlier Valeriy leaks had already described shielding, Electro application, Elemental Mastery support and Stellar-related bonuses. The new Quill claim is therefore an incremental development rather than a complete replacement kit. It adds a potentially important offensive layer, but it does not independently confirm any of the older claims.

What the alleged package could mean for team roles

Taken at face value, the Mitya numbers point toward role compression. A single off-field character who provides damage amplification, Elemental Mastery and Cryo or Electro Resistance reduction could support reaction damage while also improving direct elemental damage. The earlier summon reports additionally suggest personal off-field contribution, although that connection is not restated in the latest card.

Valeriy’s alleged Quill would add another form of offensive support to a profile previously described as defensive and utility focused. If both characters are intended for the same Version 7.2 ecosystem, their overlap and differences may determine whether they compete for one slot or complement each other. The available posts do not provide enough information to answer that question.

Players should also avoid treating C6 values as the baseline. The claimed increase from 120 to 150 Elemental Mastery places part of Mitya’s support ceiling behind his final constellation if the report is accurate. Build discussions should keep C0 and C6 separate, especially before durations and uptime are known.

The source chain is still unconfirmed

Both reports lead back to LoveHappy. Teyvat Leaks HQ and Valeriy Mains are distributors in this chain, not two independent confirmations. No official Genshin Impact announcement, final talent page or publicly verifiable Version 7.2 build accompanies the claims.

That limitation is especially important because the new Mitya values conflict with at least one older reported Elemental Mastery figure. Changes are normal during development, but a changed number can also reflect incomplete context, translation differences or inaccurate reporting. Without primary test documentation that readers can verify, the safest description is that these are alleged current values.

HoYoverse’s official Snezhnaya Adventure Guide provides stable context for the game’s current Snezhnaya era, but it does not confirm Mitya, Valeriy or the leaked Version 7.2 mechanics. The distinction between official regional material and unofficial future-kit reporting should remain clear.

What to watch for next

A stronger follow-up would include complete talent wording, screenshots tied to a recognizable build, exact durations and a second source with independent access. For Mitya, the key question is how the new buffs connect to Prisms, summoned units and the Polestar Field. For Valeriy, players need to know what generates a Quill, who consumes it and how much damage it adds.

Until then, the latest leak is useful as evidence that both reported kits may still be moving. Mitya’s alleged support values are more generous and more specific than an earlier snapshot, while Valeriy’s reported Quill adds a new offensive concept without enough detail to evaluate it. All figures and mechanics remain unofficial and subject to change before any Version 7.2 release.
