The Future of Genshin Impact: Full Banner Roadmap Analysis for Versions 6.2 to 6.6

The current version cycle of Genshin Impact is entering one of its most intense periods. Recent updates in Nod Krai, together with ongoing balance changes and new elemental interactions, have sparked heavy speculation about the upcoming banners. The community is especially focused on Columbina, Durin, Zibai, Iluga, Sandrone, Varka, Alice, and Nicole, since all of them are tied to future quests, major events, or direct story involvement. This roadmap gathers all confirmed information, reasonable expectations, and recurring community predictions to understand what players may face through versions 6.2, 6.3, 6.4, 6.5, and 6.6.

Confirmed Situation in Version 6.2

Version 6.2 is already well known. The update brings Durin and Varessa as primary highlights. Players also noted that the current Abyss cycle encourages strong Electrocharged Lunar teams, which influences decision making when choosing banners. Despite early rumors, there is no Mondstadt rerun banner in this version, something that surprised both players and creators. Many expected a rerun to match the buffs to Aquelarre, Venti, Albedo, and Klee, but that banner appears to have been postponed.

What Version 6.3 Is Expected to Bring

Version 6.3 is where the community is focusing most of its excitement. The appearance of Iluga as a free four star is confirmed. The arrival of Zibai has also gained traction since she represents the new Geo Crystalized Lunar carry, supposedly becoming the highest performing Geo related damage dealer. Many theorycrafters consider Zibai plus Iluga C6 the baseline for the new lunar crystallization meta.

The version is also expected to mark the debut of Columbina, who remains one of the most discussed characters after her official drip marketing reveal. Although she can be played as a damage dealer, most builds lean toward her identity as a powerful support with Bloom Lunar style mechanics.

Speculation also circulates around Sandrone, who may complete Zibai's team as either a unique Geo support or another damage focused option. Depending on Hoyoverse's internal scheduling, she may appear alongside Columbina or as a later surprise.

Some early leaks also mention Neuvillette, since he is receiving a new outfit. His potential presence on the banner could help boost sales, especially among players who missed earlier reruns.

Looking Ahead to Version 6.4

One of the most anticipated possibilities is the arrival of Varka. Many credible sources suggest that Version 6.4 will finally bring this major character to the forefront. If that turns out to be true, then Alice and Nicole may also enter the banner rotation soon. These three characters have been teased repeatedly in Archon Quest dialogue and regional story content.

Players believe that Sandrone may appear in 6.4 as well, especially because recent quests treat her as a major figure within Nod Krai. However, the banner structure could change depending on internal balancing decisions. Hoyoverse usually avoids placing too many new five star characters in one version, so a split distribution between 6.4 and 6.5 seems likely.

Version 6.5 and 6.6: The High Speculation Zone

These versions carry the bulk of long term speculation. Several characters are due for reruns based on the typical one year rotation pattern.

Some of the most likely rerun candidates include:

  • Escoffier, who might return after almost a full year since her release in 5.6.

  • Lauma, strongly requested by players who run Nefer teams.

  • Skirk, who typically appears around the same timeline as Escoffier.

  • Flins and Nefer, who may return together because they form part of a popular intergalactic themed team.

  • Various Fontaine characters such as Chiori, Lyney, Navia, and Clorinde, who have not appeared for many versions.

The biggest uncertainty involves how Hoyoverse intends to handle the rising number of characters. Some creators suggest the possibility of triple banners, allowing six banners per version instead of four. Others predict a return of regional compilation banners, similar to previous Sumeru and Mondstadt reruns.

Future Reruns for Major Characters

Historical patterns suggest that before the end of Version 6.8, both Durin and Columbina will receive their first reruns. This follows the traditional cycle seen with earlier Archons and top selling characters. There is also a strong possibility that Zibai could rerun before the region cycle ends.

Fans have mixed feelings about the density of these updates. Many players love the excitement of new characters but express concern about resource management, especially free to play players. Some comments highlight the fear of missing key units. Others look forward to the potential arrival of long awaited characters like Alice, Varka, and Nicole.

Regardless of the uncertainty, this banner roadmap shows that the Nod Krai era is packed with major releases, shifting metas, and high powered units. Every version promises new surprises and major gameplay changes, making it one of the most dynamic chapters in Genshin Impact history.
