Powerful Aquelarre Buffs Shake Up Genshin Impact Meta with New Team Compositions in Version 6.2 and 6.3

The latest Aquelarre buffs in Genshin Impact have significantly shifted the meta landscape, delivering powerful bonuses that elevate multiple characters across both four star and five star rosters. According to community testing and early theorycrafting, the primary winners of this patch are characters like Razor, Klee, Mona, and Durin, with several others gaining new functionality depending on team composition.

One of the biggest highlights is the impact on four star characters, especially those that now synergize more effectively with Overload teams. Players can select a four star unit for free, making it easier to test updated options. Fischl receives major improvements in Overload synergy, gaining increased attack and elemental mastery that scale aggressively with Aquelarre team compositions. Teams such as Chevreuse, Razor, Fischl, and Durin are emerging as some of the strongest budget friendly lineups available.

Meanwhile, Razor benefits dramatically from these changes, earning status as one of the strongest four star carries in the current meta. In optimized Overload lineups, Razor can now rival previous top tier full four star teams like Gaming comps, transforming into a high damage Electro carry with access to strong crit scaling and elemental reactions.

On the five star side, characters like Albedo, Klee, and Mona have seen both structural and statistical upgrades. Albedo gains new roles in Geo hybrid teams, especially by supporting Navia and Itto lineups, while also acting as a flex sub DPS in mixed reaction squads. These changes open fresh opportunities for players who previously sidelined Albedo due to low utility in modern content.

Heavy attention is also turning to Klee, especially in Overload compositions, where she can now compete with or surpass Arlecchino under the right conditions. With access to strong defense shredding, resistance reduction, and team wide buffs, Klee becomes an explosive threat in lineups alongside Durin and Chevreuse. These setups can potentially land in the top tier of the current meta, thanks to extremely high reaction damage output.

Perhaps the most surprising turnaround belongs to Mona, whose kit now scales impressively both on field and off field. Mona has transitioned from a permanent pool meme to a high performing support or hybrid carry, contributing critical damage buffs, vaporize synergy, and elemental mastery to several top meta teams. Current testing places Mona in multiple top ten compositions, including Mualani, Durin carry, and Skirk variants.

Of course, Durin remains the centerpiece of this patch cycle. Now recognized as a best in slot choice for multiple meta squads, Durin provides exceptional resistance shredding, damage scaling, and reaction boosting, particularly upon receiving future artifact sets. Even at C0, Durin dramatically improves existing teams. With constellations and future gear options, he is expected to define upcoming meta evolutions, especially with new characters like Zibai reportedly designed to synergize with him.

This update represents a notable shift in design philosophy. Rather than introducing isolated upgrades, the developers have retroactively empowered multiple older characters, making them viable within high level team structures. As a result, players who previously ignored characters like Klee, Razor, or Albedo may find themselves rebuilding teams to take full advantage of these buffs.

With Version 6.3 bringing new artifact sets for Durin and Columbina, the meta is still evolving. Early calculations suggest that these sets offer massive increases to attack and crit rate, potentially cementing Durin, Razor, Fischl, and Klee as some of the strongest characters moving into the next cycle.

For now, Genshin Impact players are encouraged to test new teams, revisit older characters, and experiment with Aquelarre compositions. With stronger reaction bonuses, new build paths, and better team synergy, this update marks one of the most transformative system-wide buffs since the introduction of Dendro and reaction reworks.
