New Genshin Impact Bows In Version 6.2. Free Event Weapon And Global Venti Signature Bow Analyzed

Genshin Impact Version 6.2 introduces two new bows. a free event bow and a premium Venti signature bow that many players will obtain while pulling for Durin’s weapon. Content creators and theorycrafters have already started to evaluate both options, and early conclusions are very clear. The free bow is a decent starter tool for newer accounts, but the true prize of this patch is the Venti bow, which is being described as a new global best in slot alternative for a huge list of characters.

The free 4 star event bow is simple in concept. It offers 510 base attack, a secondary stat of 45.9 percent energy recharge and a passive that grants up to 56 percent attack at refinement rank 5 when the wielder hits enemies while off field. In practice, that means characters like Fischl or off field Ganyu can hold it and gain a large attack boost alongside decent recharge. For new players, this makes the weapon serviceable on almost any off field support who appreciates both attack and energy, especially when better options are not available.

However, for veterans with over a year of playtime, the free bow quickly shows its limits. Many established supports prefer Favonius Warbow for its superior energy generation, team battery potential and high energy recharge value. Characters such as Diona, Collei, Faruzan, Goro and Yelan commonly rely on Favonius or Sacrificial to feed rotations smoothly. In those cases, raw attack from the new weapon is less important than energy particles and team comfort. For damage focused builds, options like The Stringless or Last Accord often outperform the event bow, since they provide direct skill and burst damage bonuses that scale more efficiently than flat attack on characters who already struggle to balance crit stats.

The real highlight of Version 6.2 is the new 5 star Venti bow. On paper, its stat line is extremely aggressive. It provides 674 base attack, 44 percent critical damage and a unique passive that can reach 60 percent damage bonus to normal attacks, elemental skills and elemental bursts. The key mechanic is timing. When the wielder stays off field, the 60 percent damage bonus remains intact. When they enter the field, the bonus decays by 10 percent per second, but each hit can refresh and rebuild the stacks at short intervals. This makes the bow extremely flexible. Off field units keep the full buff automatically, while on field carries can maintain high uptime through constant attacks.

This design turns the weapon into a universal damage bow. For Fischl, who spends most of her time off field, the weapon looks like a potential new best in slot, even compared to Skyward Harp. Harp offers stronger crit value, but the Venti bow adds a massive consistent damage bonus on all sources of Oz damage. For Amber DPS, the combination of high attack, critical damage and a flat 60 percent damage increase on skill and burst makes the bow a serious rival to Aqua Simulacra. Venti himself benefits in both support and DPS styles, gaining stronger burst and skill damage whether he plays on or off field.

Other archers also interact well with the design. Ganyu in off field roles loves the extra damage because her crit ratio is often overcapped in freeze teams. Yoimiya can repeatedly trigger the refresh mechanic through rapid normal attacks, effectively keeping the buff active for entire rotations. Tartaglia can use the bow comfortably, even if his signature weapon still edges it out in pure crit value. Aloy, used as a burst nuker, gains a powerful boost to her burst window while staying simple to play. In more niche cases, characters like Sara, Ororon and Chasca can potentially treat it as a high end best in slot thanks to the strong mix of attack, crit damage and general damage amplification.

Some interactions need testing because of wording and translation details. The passive mentions damage to normal attacks, skills and bursts, which might interact indirectly with charged attacks if they are tied to the normal attack talent, as in the cases of Tighnari, Lyney or Sethos. If that is confirmed, the bow will likely rank as a top tier or second best in slot option for them as well, sitting just behind their own signature weapons or Aqua Simulacra in specific reaction setups. Even without perfect synergy, the bow remains extremely competitive due to its stat density and universal damage scaling.

Overall, the verdict from early community analysis is straightforward. The free 4 star event bow is a fine extra tool for new or mid game accounts, especially for off field supports who want a mix of attack and energy recharge. For established players with a larger weapon box, it is rarely a first choice. In contrast, the Venti signature bow stands out as a truly broken global bow, comparable to Aqua Simulacra in flexibility. It works on a huge range of bow users, supports both off field and on field roles and offers a rare combination of high base attack, critical damage and a massive 60 percent damage bonus.
