Genshin Impact has officially announced the Version “Luna V” Update Maintenance Preview, confirming server downtime and compensation details ahead of the next major patch. The new version, titled Song of the Welkin Moon: Variation - “Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind”, will go live following scheduled maintenance on February 25, 2026.
According to the development team, update maintenance will begin on 2026/02/25 at 06:00 (UTC+8) and is estimated to last approximately five hours. Once completed, players will gain access to all Luna V content, including new banners, events, and system adjustments.
As compensation for server downtime, Travelers will receive Primogems ×300, calculated at 60 Primogems per hour of maintenance. This compensation applies to players who have reached Adventure Rank 5 or above by 2026/02/25 06:00 (UTC+8). Rewards will be distributed via in game mail within five hours after maintenance concludes. Players must claim the compensation before the end of Version Luna V, and the mail itself will expire after 30 days.
In addition to maintenance details, HoYoverse confirmed that pre installation for Version Luna V is now available. This feature allows Travelers to download a portion of the update files in advance, ensuring faster access once the servers reopen.
The estimated storage requirements for pre installation are as follows.
PC: Approximately 6 GB.
Mobile: Approximately 2 GB.
The final download size may vary depending on installed voice over packs, as the estimate assumes a typical configuration with one voice pack selected.
