Genshin Impact 6.2: Mondstadt Regional Banner

The Genshin Impact 6.2 update brings the long-awaited return of the Mondstadt Regional Banner, following one of the most significant rounds of buffs in the game’s history. These adjustments have revitalized many classic Mondstadt characters such as Klee, Albedo, Mona, and Razor, while opening the door for future upgrades to other regional factions including the Inazuma Shogunate, the Fatui, and even the Archons themselves. This banner marks a milestone moment for veteran players, as long-overlooked heroes finally receive competitive boosts to re-enter the evolving 6.2 meta.

In previous iterations of the regional banner, HoYoverse included characters from other nations like Tighnari and Dehya due to the exclusivity of their signature weapons. However, this rerun focuses fully on Mondstadt’s legacy, enhanced by the recent buffs that have elevated several of its residents to new heights. The update arrives alongside the promotional banners for Durin and Venti, while Varka is expected to make his long-awaited debut in Version 6.4.

Among the biggest winners of these adjustments is Mona, whose newly enhanced constellations and scaling have made her one of the strongest and most flexible supports in the game. Her reworked constellation bonuses now extend the duration of her Omen debuff, improve elemental mastery sharing, and significantly boost the team’s overall damage potential. At higher constellations, Mona even transforms into a hyper carry, with her charged attacks receiving up to a 200% damage multiplier. This makes her not only an exceptional support for characters like Durin or Furina, but also a viable on-field DPS for advanced compositions.

Klee also benefits tremendously from the Mondstadt buffs. Her new constellation adjustments and stat upgrades allow her to deal stronger Pyro damage through multi-hit attacks and improved defense reduction mechanics. The combination of Klee, Durin, Bennett, and Furina now stands out as one of the strongest Mono-Pyro configurations in the current meta, offering incredible reaction potential and sustained damage output. Players are also experimenting with hybrid reaction teams like Klee, Furina, and Emilie, where Klee acts as a Pyro catalyst for ongoing Burning and Vaporize reactions.

Albedo, meanwhile, has received a complete revitalization. His new buffs make him a more potent Geo support, capable of competing with Xilonen C0 in teams built around Itto and Navia. His improved constellation effects now enhance plunging attack damage and overall elemental buffs, positioning him as a strong replacement for certain 4-star supports and freeing Xilonen for other high-end team rotations, such as Mavuika or Mualani compositions.

Even Razor long considered a dated physical DPS has found new life through reworks that introduce Pyro-infused Overload interactions when paired with Bennett and Chevreuse. This new “Pyro-imbued Razor” team, featuring Razor, Fischl, Bennett, and Chevreuse, takes advantage of reaction-based scaling, transforming Razor into a hybrid Electro-Pyro brawler capable of explosive chain damage.

The banner also includes several classic Mondstadt weapons, including the Primordial Jade Cutter and the Skyward Series (Skyward Blade, Skyward Pride, Skyward Atlas, and Skyward Harp). While some of these are not top-tier in the current environment, the Skyward Harp remains a notable best-in-slot for characters like Fischl and Sara, especially when refined for critical damage and base attack synergy.

This new Mondstadt Regional Banner symbolizes not just nostalgia, but transformation a return to the roots of Genshin Impact’s oldest region, reborn with the power to compete against modern lineups. Between Mona’s ascension as a meta powerhouse, Klee’s fiery resurgence, and Albedo’s newfound relevance, players have a reason to revisit old favorites while preparing for upcoming giants like Varka and Durin.

With HoYoverse’s clear intent to modernize legacy characters through targeted buffs, this banner could mark the start of a new era of cross-regional rebalancing one that finally allows every nation in Teyvat to shine once more.
