Genshin Impact Version 6.4 Maintenance Begins as Varka Banner and New Animated Launcher Prepare to Launch

Official Version 6.4 maintenance is now live, with Varka’s banner arriving in five hours, 600 Primogems compensation confirmed, and new audio optimizations including English voice-over additions.

Maintenance for Genshin Impact Version 6.4 has officially started, marking the final countdown before the highly anticipated Varka banner release. According to update details tied to Genshin Impact, players have approximately five hours remaining until servers reopen. Once maintenance concludes, all eligible players will receive 600 Primogems as compensation.

The arrival of Version 6.4 is particularly significant due to the long-awaited debut of Varka. After years of lore references and indirect mentions, Varka finally becomes playable, making this one of the most impactful banners in recent cycles. Early projections indicate high pull interest, especially given recent Spiral Abyss rotations and upcoming Version 6.5 synergies.

New Animated Launcher for Version 6.4

Version 6.4 also introduces a brand-new animated game launcher, featuring Varka as the central visual focus. The updated launcher includes dynamic background animation and character-themed presentation, aligning with his banner launch.

• Adds English voice-over resources for Charlotte and Xingqiu in “Travelers' Tales.”
• Adds English voice-over resources for Clorinde in “Genius Invokation TCG.”

These additions improve narrative immersion and expand English localization coverage across multiple questlines and gameplay modes.

600 Primogems Compensation

As standard procedure for major updates, players will receive:

• 600 Primogems after maintenance ends

This compensation reflects extended downtime and ensures fairness across the player base.
