The latest Genshin Impact 6.6 leaks have revealed new details regarding upcoming rerun banners, suggesting a shift in expectations for Pyro characters. According to datamined information and insider reports, Durin is not expected to receive a rerun in version 6.6, despite earlier speculation. Instead, another Pyro character, potentially Mavuika, is now rumored to take priority.
This development has gained traction due to newly leaked Spiral Abyss buffs, which appear to strongly favor Mavuika’s gameplay style. The Abyss is often used as a subtle indicator of upcoming banners, as its buffs typically align with featured characters to encourage their usage.
For the upper half of the Abyss, leaks indicate that characters protected by a shield will receive a 75 percent damage increase. This type of buff is particularly impactful for teams built around defensive setups and sustained damage, which could synergize well with certain Pyro units depending on their kit.
Meanwhile, the lower half Abyss buff is reportedly directly aligned with Mavuika, further strengthening speculation about her potential rerun. While exact details of this buff remain limited, its association with her playstyle has led many players to believe that she is being positioned as a featured character for the patch.
The absence of Durin in the rerun lineup is notable, as he had been widely expected to return based on previous patterns and community predictions. This shift suggests that developers may be adjusting their rerun strategy, possibly to better align with current meta trends, Abyss rotations, or upcoming content themes.
