Genshin Impact 6.3 Reveals New Event Lineup, With Major Seasonal Event Still Missing From Preview

Beta images highlight multiple side activities, reward tracks, and combat modes, but the main Lantern Rite style event remains unlisted in the current build

The first round of Genshin Impact 6.3 beta images reveals a full slate of limited time events with progression systems, reward shops, and themed collectibles. However, a notable omission in the preview is the main flagship seasonal event, commonly released during early year patches and typically structured as a Lantern Rite celebration. Testers have pointed out that the primary festival remains absent from the current menu even though other secondary events are already visible.

The new photo themed event tasks players with capturing specific targets, unlocking cosmetic rewards, primogems, and collectibles. The interface features character silhouettes, special frames, and a scrap book layout. This format suggests a focus on casual gameplay loops, aesthetic rewards, and creative interaction rather than time gated combat.

Another highlight is a strategic combat event with a war game system, where players select units, plan formations, and compete across multiple rounds. According to the beta screens, battles progress in phases. These phases include preparation, active combat, and suppression strategies. Different enemies appear every round. The event features tiered rewards ranging from mora to enhancement materials. Score milestones include thresholds at 500 points, 1000 points, 1500 points, and 2500 points.

The combat system suggests an expansion of the experimental battle modes previously tested in earlier patches. The goal is to provide replay value and progressive scaling that rewards optimization instead of burst clear times. Rotational planning, formation building, and enemy wave management will likely influence player performance during the event.

A separate section of the menu shows open world exploration objectives tied to a new map area, with a defined progress meter. The event provides time limited rewards for reaching exploration milestones. The presence of this system suggests either a new sub region inside an existing nation or an event specific zone created only for the patch. Since the progress starts at zero percent, testers indicate that exploration tasks will likely open after the patch launches rather than during beta.

Although the lineup features multiple standalone activities, the lack of a main Lantern Rite style event panel is surprising. Lantern Rite is historically a large scale annual update featuring narrative quests, music events, fireworks, minigames, and character rewards. Beta testers noted that the main event tab is currently hidden and likely unfinished. The primary celebration is expected to bring a larger pool of primogems, cosmetics, and limited time game modes that exceed the scale of the events shown so far.

The current preview confirms that version 6.3 will deliver a traditional patch model with multiple reward tracks, event shops, collectibles, and activity based progression. The missing flagship event implies that a future beta build will add the seasonal centerpiece that defines early cycle updates. With community expectations centered on a Lantern Rite celebration, players are preparing for a narrative event anchored in festival themes, returning characters, and high value rewards.
