The biggest rumor currently circulating involves a completely new Cryo reaction that may arrive during the later versions of the 7.x series.
Cryo-Aggravate Reportedly in Development
According to today's leaks, HoYoverse is testing a Cryo-Aggravate reaction planned for the later stages of the Snezhnaya expansion. Rather than becoming a universal elemental reaction available to every Cryo character, the mechanic is reportedly designed as a character-exclusive system, similar to how Nilou enables unique Bloom interactions.
If the current information proves accurate, only specific characters would be capable of activating or benefiting from the new reaction. This approach would allow HoYoverse to introduce entirely new combat mechanics without fundamentally changing the game's existing elemental system.
Very few gameplay details have surfaced so far, and no damage calculations or activation requirements have been leaked. However, the report aligns with previous rumors suggesting that Snezhnaya will introduce exclusive combat archetypes, Stella mechanics and new reaction systems beyond the traditional elemental framework.
