The Genshin Impact 7.1 beta is reportedly only around 24 hours away, and a new wave of preliminary information is already circulating ahead of the testing phase. The latest leaks provide early details about the next playable characters, their signature weapons, future character development and additional content expected to arrive with Version 7.1.
As always with pre-beta information, all details are unofficial and subject to change. Character kits, weapon effects, numbers, materials and even gameplay roles can be modified once official beta testing begins.
According to the latest information, Version 7.1 is expected to introduce two new five-star playable characters.
Vodyanitsa is reportedly a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user, while Vesna is expected to be a 5-star Anemo Sword character. Both characters are currently among the primary subjects of the upcoming beta leaks, with additional information expected to become available once testing officially begins.
And Vodyanitsa transforms into a mermaid, while Vesna spreads its little wings and flies.
Both characters have exploration mobility that consumes Stamina.
Vodyanitsa's early information suggests that her gameplay could be closely connected to Frozen and Stellar Swirl reactions. Her rumored signature weapon further reinforces this possibility, providing additional benefits when characters trigger these reactions.
Vodyanitsa Signature Weapon Leak
Vodyanitsa's leaked signature weapon is reportedly a Hydro-focused Catalyst with 542 Base ATK and 66.2% HP as its secondary stat.
Its passive reportedly increases Healing Bonus by 8%. When the wielder heals a character, they gain a stack of Song of the Water Nymph. Each stack increases the wielder's Max HP by 5%, while additional Max HP above 40,000 can increase the active character's ATK.
The leaked effect reportedly allows the weapon to provide up to 5% ATK through this scaling. Song of the Water Nymph can stack up to three times and each stack has its own duration.
The weapon becomes considerably more interesting when Frozen or Stellar Swirl is triggered. Current information suggests that existing stacks and newly generated stacks within the following five seconds can be converted into Song of the Water Nymph's Refrain, increasing the Max HP and ATK bonuses by an additional 75%.
Importantly, these effects can reportedly activate while the wielder is off-field, suggesting that Vodyanitsa could potentially interact with teams that frequently rotate characters
