A major new Genshin Impact leak is generating intense discussion across the community after the alleged renders of Thoth, Heryshaf and Sobek surfaced online. According to early leak information, the three mysterious figures are expected to become central characters in a future Sumeru Archon Mission tied directly to Irminsul, the legacy of King Deshret and the forgotten history buried beneath the desert ruins.
The leak is especially important because players already encountered references to these characters during a previous desert themed event quest. While exploring ancient ruins and the mysterious Temple of the Sages, Travelers discovered inscriptions, carvings and records related to three symbolic beings represented by the eagle, the goat and the crocodile. During the same questline, a mysterious talking cat eventually revealed itself to be Thoth, or rather an external manifestation connected to his imprisoned self.
According to the established lore revealed during the event, Thoth was one of the Seven Pillars of King Deshret. However, for reasons still unknown, he and his fellow sages Heryshaf and Sobek were imprisoned in Aaru by King Deshret himself. Before sealing them away, Deshret declared that Thoth could only be freed once the answer to three questions had been discovered.
The story surrounding those questions has become one of the most intriguing unresolved mysteries in modern Sumeru lore. Two individuals named Goudarz and Makhaira reportedly answered two of the questions correctly. Thoth rewarded them for their success, but those rewards eventually led to their downfall. Later, a woman named Nefer answered the third question, but her response failed to free Thoth, confirming that the answer was incorrect. Despite this, Thoth still gifted her a mysterious chess set capable of revealing hidden truths and secrets.
Many players now believe this chess set could become extremely important in the upcoming Archon storyline, especially with the new leaks mentioning a direct connection to Irminsul. Since Irminsul stores the memories and history of Teyvat itself, fans speculate that the “true answer” required to free Thoth may involve forgotten knowledge erased from the world.
