Ganyu’s Legendary Build
Learn to unleash powerful Cryo charged shots with Liyue’s Cocogoat, and perfect your build with ease.
Talent Priority:
Her Normal Attack should only be leveled if you’re going to use her as a Charged Attack DPS.
Her Elemental Skill doesn’t need to be leveled up much.
Her Elemental Burst should be leveled up to the maximum, as it provides her highest damage when used as a Sub-DPS in any team.
The ideal setup would be 10/6/1 in terms of Talents if you’re using her as a Melt Charged DPS, and 1/6/10 if you’re playing her as a Sub-DPS.

This longbow's color is unpredictable. Under the light, it takes on a lustrous, watery blue.

Amos' Bow ★★★★★
Strong-Willed
Increases Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 12%. After a Normal or Charged Attack is fired, DMG dealt increases by a further 8% every 0.1s the arrow is in the air for up to 5 times.
An extremely ancient bow that has retained its power despite its original master being long gone. It draws power from everyone and everything in the world, and the further away you are from that which your heart desires, the more powerful it is.
3
Skyward Harp ★★★★★
Echoing Ballad
Increases CRIT DMG by 20%. Hits have a 60% chance to inflict a small AoE attack, dealing 125% Physical ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 4s.
A greatbow that symbolizes Dvalin's affiliation with the Anemo Archon. The sound of the bow firing is music to the Anemo Archon's ears. It contains the power of the sky and wind within.
4
Thundering Pulse ★★★★★
Rule by Thunder
Increases ATK by 20% and grants the might of the Thunder Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Thunder Emblem increases Normal Attack DMG by 12/24/40%. The character will obtain 1 stack of Thunder Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Skill (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.
A longbow that was a gift from the Shogun. Eternal lightning crackles all around it.
5
Mouun's Moon ★★★★
Watatsumi Wavewalker
For every point of the entire party's combined maximum Energy capacity, the Elemental Burst DMG of the character equipping this weapon is increased by 0.12%. A maximum of 40% increased Elemental Burst DMG can be achieved this way.
A lovely warbow made from seashells and coral. A mournful brilliance flows along its moonlight-colored arms.
6
Blackcliff Warbow ★★★★
Press the Advantage
After defeating an enemy, ATK is increased by 12% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.
A bow made of blackcliff that features extremely sturdy bow limbs. It requires an archer with a strong bow arm to use.
7
Hamayumi ★★★★
Full Draw
Increases Normal Attack DMG by 16% and Charged Attack DMG by 12%. When the equipping character's Energy reaches 100%, this effect is increased by 100%.
A certain shrine maiden once owned this warbow. It was made with surpassing skill, and is both intricate and sturdy.
Important: Amos’ Bow and Hamayumi are good options only for MELT, while Mouun’s Moon is only for Sub-DPS.
If you’re using the Aqua Simulacra, you should equip an ATK% Circlet in almost any situation.

Ganyu Build Guide
This Ganyu build guide explores the legendary Cryo archer across her three primary playstyles: Permafrost, Melt, and Support. Mastering Ganyu requires understanding her unique charged shot mechanics and selecting the right gear to excel in different team comps.
Best Weapons
- Amos' Bow: This is the premier choice for a Ganyu build focused on charged shots. It significantly boosts damage based on arrow travel time, making it the top option for both Melt and Permafrost variants.
- Aqua Simulacra: A powerful alternative that provides massive Critical Damage. It excels in close-range combat scenarios, making it highly effective for Melt teams where Ganyu stays near enemies to trigger reactions.
- Prototype Crescent: This accessible F2P option remains one of the best weapons when hitting weak points. It provides a substantial Attack buff that benefits her entire kit, provided you can consistently trigger its passive.
- Hamayumi: A strong craftable bow specifically for Melt Ganyu. It increases Normal and Charged Attack damage, though it requires you to maintain full Energy, which may conflict with using her Elemental Burst.
Best Artifacts
- Blizzard Strayer: The definitive choice for Permafrost builds. This set provides a massive Critical Rate boost against frozen enemies, allowing you to focus almost entirely on stacking Critical Damage for maximum output.
- Shimenawa's Reminiscence: A top-tier option for Melt Ganyu that trades Energy for a significant increase in Charged Attack damage. It is ideal for players who prioritize raw arrow damage over her Elemental Burst.
- Wanderer's Troupe: A classic and reliable set for Melt team comps. It provides necessary Elemental Mastery and a permanent Charged Attack damage bonus without the Energy drain mechanics of other artifact sets.
Teams and Stat Priorities
- Stat Priorities: Focus on 65% to 70% Critical Rate and 240% to 250% Critical Damage. Aim for 140% Energy Recharge, and ensure Melt builds have 200 to 300 Elemental Mastery.
- Permafrost Team: This classic composition uses Ganyu, Mona, Kazuha, and Rosaria. It focuses on keeping enemies permanently frozen while utilizing Kazuha for crowd control and Mona for damage amplification.
- Melt Burn Team: A modern variant featuring Ganyu, Nahida, Kazuha, and Bennett. This team uses the Burning reaction to provide a consistent Pyro aura, allowing Ganyu to Melt every charged shot.
- Traditional Melt Team: This reliable setup includes Ganyu, Xiangling, Zhongli, and Bennett. Zhongli provides a necessary shield for uninterrupted aiming while Xiangling and Bennett apply Pyro and massive Attack buffs.
- Morgana Team: A specialized Permafrost variant with Ganyu, Mona, Kazuha, and Diona. This team relies on the interaction between Ganyu's Burst and Mona's Omen bubble to clear groups of enemies efficiently.
