Genshin Impact Version "Luna IV" continues to expand the world of Teyvat with new systems designed to deepen character progression, and one of the most impactful additions arrives through the new artifact sets introduced in the update titled “A Traveler on a Winter’s Night”. During the official reveal, players were given a first look at two brand-new artifact sets that promise to significantly influence combat strategies, team compositions, and off-field damage optimization.
The first new artifact set is titled “Aubade of Morningstar and Moon”. This set is clearly designed for reaction-focused characters, especially those who rely heavily on Elemental Mastery and Lunar Reaction damage. Its two-piece bonus increases Elemental Mastery by 80, making it an excellent choice for characters who consistently trigger elemental reactions. This bonus naturally synergizes with teams built around reaction-based gameplay.
The four-piece bonus of Aubade of Morningstar and Moon introduces a layered and strategic effect. When the equipping character is off-field, Lunar Reaction DMG is increased by 20 percent. If the party’s Moonsign Level reaches Ascendant Gleam, Lunar Reaction damage is further increased by 40 percent. This enhanced effect disappears after the equipping character remains active for three seconds, reinforcing its role as an off-field support or sub-DPS artifact set.
The individual artifact pieces in this set include Moonlit Offering’s Opulent Dream, Moonlit Offering’s Parting Light, Moonlit Offering’s Final Hour, Moonlit Offering’s Libation, and Moonlit Offering’s Silver Crown. Each piece reflects a celestial lunar theme, visually aligning with the overarching identity of Version "Luna IV".The second artifact set revealed is titled “A Day Carved From Rising Winds”. This set focuses on raw offensive power, making it ideal for main DPS characters and units that benefit from sustained buffs. The two-piece bonus grants a 18 percent ATK increase, offering a universally valuable stat boost across many character builds.
Its four-piece bonus grants Blessing of Pastoral Winds after a Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst hits an opponent. This effect lasts six seconds and increases ATK by 25 percent. If the equipping character has completed Witch’s Homework, the effect upgrades to Resolve of Pastoral Winds, which additionally increases CRIT Rate by 20 percent. Notably, this effect can trigger even when the character is off-field, making it extremely valuable for team rotations and buff-centric compositions.
The artifact pieces for A Day Carved From Rising Winds include Windborne Flower’s Spruchdichtung, Dawn’s Brilliant Oath, A Note in Spring’s Leich, Heldenepos’s Unspoken Tale, and Minnesang of Love and Lament. The set’s design emphasizes themes of wind, song, and heroic legacy, strongly resonating with Anemo-aligned aesthetics.
Both artifact sets can be obtained from Moonchild’s Treasures, a newly introduced Artifact Domain located in Ashveil Peak of Nod-Krai. This domain becomes a key farming location for players preparing for future events, new characters, and upcoming Spiral Abyss rotations in Luna IV.
Overall, the new artifacts introduced in “A Traveler on a Winter’s Night” demonstrate miHoYo’s commitment to expanding build diversity and rewarding strategic team planning. Whether players focus on Lunar Reaction damage, off-field support roles, or high-ATK DPS builds, these artifact sets are poised to play a major role in shaping the evolving Genshin Impact meta.
