The latest Genshin Impact 6.7 Beta V2 update continues to expand the growing amount of leaked Nod-Krai content after dataminers uncovered new information connected to the mysterious Area of the Moon region. Following the release of the newest 2.77GB beta patch, several leaked images and map comparisons began circulating online, showing both the overworld appearance of the area and how the location is displayed directly on the in-game map.
According to current leaks, the Area of the Moon may feature a major environmental transformation tied to a future World Quest or story progression event. Dataminers reportedly discovered multiple versions of the same location, including what appears to be a clear “before and after” state visible directly through the map layout itself.
This discovery has immediately sparked heavy speculation within the community. Many players believe HoYoverse could once again introduce a large scale regional evolution mechanic similar to previous map altering quests seen in earlier nations. The leaked images suggest the environment may drastically change after completing a major questline connected to Nod-Krai’s central narrative.
The visuals from the beta also showcase an atmosphere very different from previous regions in Teyvat. Early screenshots reveal a darker lunar aesthetic mixed with glowing terrain elements, unusual structures and an environment that appears heavily connected to celestial themes. Because the area is still deep in beta testing, many textures and lighting elements may still be unfinished.
One of the most interesting details surrounding the leak is how the map itself reportedly changes between versions. Players noticed that the Area of the Moon appears visually altered after certain progression states, strongly hinting that Version 6.7 or later updates may include permanent world modifications based on story completion.
