Genshin Impact Announces Massive Japan Collaborations With KFC and Animate Featuring Exclusive Merchandise, Redeem Codes and Alhaitham & Kaveh Rewards

HoYoverse fans in Japan are preparing for one of the biggest Genshin Impact collaboration campaigns of 2026 as KFC and Animate launch limited food sets, exclusive collectibles, illustration cards and rare signed merchandise lotteries

Genshin Impact is once again taking over Japan with a massive collaboration campaign that is already generating enormous excitement across the anime and gaming community. HoYoverse officially revealed a brand-new partnership with KFC Japan alongside a large-scale Animate Fair ~CODENAME A~, bringing exclusive merchandise, limited-edition rewards, collectible illustration cards and special in-game redeem codes to fans throughout the country.

The dual collaboration campaign is shaping up to become one of the most ambitious Genshin Impact Japan events ever released, especially after fans discovered that the KFC collaboration includes a special animated promotional video alongside exclusive food packaging themed around the popular characters Alhaitham and Kaveh.

The highly anticipated Genshin Impact x KFC Japan collaboration will officially run from June 10 through June 30, while the advance reservation period begins from June 3 to June 6. According to the official announcement, reservations for collaboration packs will open at approximately 2 PM on June 3 through the official KFC online ordering system.

Fans will be able to choose between two different collaboration meal sets. The premium Collaboration Pack A, priced at 1410 JPY, includes special collaboration packaging, two pieces of Original Chicken, a biscuit, small fries and a special Genshin Impact redeem code. Meanwhile, the more affordable Collaboration Pack B, available for 1080 JPY, contains one piece of Original Chicken, a biscuit, small fries and the same redeem code bonus.

One of the most important details revealed by the campaign is that although the collaboration packs can be purchased by guest users, only customers who log into the KFC Online Order system will receive the official redeem code and gain access to the exclusive merchandise lottery campaign. This detail immediately became a major talking point within the Genshin Impact community, especially among international fans attempting to secure limited rewards.

According to the campaign information, redeem codes will be distributed through email beginning the day after order pickup. The codes themselves will remain valid from June 10 until July 31, giving players over a month to redeem the exclusive in-game rewards connected to the collaboration.

However, the biggest source of excitement comes from the special merchandise lottery available exclusively through the KFC online ordering app. Fans placing eligible online orders will receive a chance to enter a lottery system featuring extremely limited collectible rewards.

Among the prizes, only 100 winners will receive the exclusive B2 tapestry, making it one of the rarest promotional items tied to the collaboration. Even more impressive, only three winners will receive the premium special merchandise set featuring signatures from the Japanese voice actors of Alhaitham and Kaveh, a reward already being described as a dream collectible for dedicated fans of the duo.

The collaboration campaign also confirmed that additional details and limited-edition merchandise announcements will be revealed soon, further increasing anticipation across social media. Many fans are already comparing the event to previous legendary Genshin Impact food collaborations that sold out rapidly across Asia.

At the same time, Genshin Impact is also preparing another major collaboration event in Japan through a nationwide partnership with Animate, one of the country’s most famous anime retail chains. The event, officially titled Animate Fair ~CODENAME A~, will run from June 20 until July 20 across all Animate stores nationwide, including the online store.

The collaboration will feature a wide selection of new exclusive merchandise themed around Genshin Impact, with special bonus rewards for participating customers. According to the campaign details, fans who spend 2,200 yen including tax on eligible Genshin Impact merchandise during the event period will receive one random illustration card from a collection of six unique designs.

Collectors should note that the illustration cards are distributed randomly and customers cannot choose which design they receive, a strategy commonly used in Japanese anime retail campaigns to encourage repeat purchases and trading among fans.

  • The collaboration merchandise lineup itself includes multiple premium collectible products launching throughout late June and early July. The stylish Acrylic Standee collection releases on June 20, 2026 for 1,980 yen each, while the elegant Acrylic Art Board launches the same day for 1,320 yen.
