A massive new Genshin Impact leak is currently circulating across the community after insiders shared an estimated roadmap for the full Snezhnaya update cycle, covering every major version from 7.0 through 7.8. While the information remains unofficial, the schedule has already sparked huge discussions among players preparing for the next era of Teyvat.
According to the leaked timeline, Version 7.0 is currently expected to launch on August 12, 2026, officially marking the beginning of the long awaited Snezhnaya region. The frozen nation has been teased throughout the game for years due to its connection with the Fatui Harbingers, the Tsaritsa and some of the darkest secrets in Teyvat’s lore.
The roadmap then suggests that Version 7.1 may release on September 23, 2026, which also aligns closely with Genshin Impact’s yearly anniversary period. Many players are already speculating that this patch could contain major anniversary rewards, special events and additional Snezhnaya story progression shortly after the region’s launch.
Following that, the leak lists Version 7.2 for November 4, 2026, continuing the early Snezhnaya narrative arc before what may become one of the most important updates in the game’s history.
According to current leak discussions, Version 7.3 is expected to launch on December 16, 2026, and this patch is particularly important because it is rumored to feature the long awaited Tsaritsa banner. If accurate, this would finally allow players to obtain the Cryo Archon after years of speculation and story buildup surrounding the ruler of Snezhnaya.
The possibility of the Tsaritsa arriving during Version 7.3 has immediately caused massive excitement throughout the community. Following the recent teaser showing the Tsaritsa Statue of The Seven and its mysterious elf like features, many fans believe HoYoverse may already be preparing one of the largest character releases ever seen in Genshin Impact.
The roadmap continues with Version 7.4 scheduled for January 27, 2027, which reportedly coincides with the yearly Lantern Rite festival. This would continue HoYoverse’s long standing tradition of bringing the Liyue celebration event into the first major update cycle of each year.
Players are especially curious about how Lantern Rite could interact with the darker atmosphere of Snezhnaya. Some theories suggest the event may temporarily shift the story back toward Liyue before returning to the frozen northern nation’s ongoing conflicts.
The later portions of the leaked roadmap include:
Version 7.5 on March 10, 2027
Version 7.6 on April 21, 2027
Version 7.7 on June 2, 2027
Version 7.8 on July 14, 2027
These projected dates appear to follow HoYoverse’s usual six week update cycle structure that has remained relatively consistent throughout previous regional expansions.
Many players are already using the leaked roadmap to plan future Primogem savings, especially with the possibility of major Snezhnaya characters, Harbingers and the Tsaritsa herself becoming playable throughout the Version 7 series.
The timing of this roadmap leak has also become especially relevant following the recent “Frozen Tundra Shrouded in Wind and Snow” teaser shown during the Version 6.6 livestream. That teaser revealed new Snezhnaya mechanics, possible Cryo Traveler gameplay changes and several mysterious characters expected to debut during the upcoming regional expansion.
Despite the growing excitement surrounding these dates, players should remember that the roadmap remains entirely unofficial at this time. HoYoverse may still alter release schedules depending on development progress, regional events, production adjustments or unexpected delays.
Historically, version schedules have occasionally shifted slightly due to technical issues, holiday planning or larger production changes. Because of this, the leaked timeline should currently be treated as an early estimate rather than a confirmed release calendar.
Even so, the possibility of already knowing the approximate path toward the Tsaritsa’s release and the complete Snezhnaya cycle has created enormous anticipation across the Genshin Impact community. As the game moves closer to Version 7.0, players are now preparing for what may become the most lore heavy and ambitious chapter in Teyvat’s history.
