Genshin Impact has officially unveiled Vesna in its latest drip marketing campaign, introducing one of the most important figures in the emerging Snezhnaya storyline. Known as the “Snowy Banquet's Sharp Blade,” Vesna serves as the Commander of the Druzhna, the elite blade wielded by the Tsaritsa herself. Her reveal immediately positions her as a major political and military figure, while her Anemo Stellar Linchpin status adds another layer of importance to her role in the game's evolving combat system.
Vesna's background is closely tied to the ancient Strivozha clan, a distinguished Vila bloodline that existed long before Snezhnaya's turbulent early history. According to her official character introduction, the Strivozha name has survived generations of conflict and accumulated countless honors. Vesna is presented as the latest and arguably most formidable bearer of that legacy, although her achievements have become so significant that many have effectively stopped associating her with the family name and simply recognize her as Vesna.
Despite her prestigious position, Vesna is described as anything but conventional. The official introduction portrays her as radiant, graceful and refined, while also emphasizing her unpredictable personality and rebellious streak. Her reputation includes driving trains at reckless speeds, earning reprimands from those around her, as well as carrying out elaborate little pranks against colleagues. These details create a striking contrast between Vesna's formal status as Druzhna Commander and her apparently mischievous personality.
One particularly memorable detail comes from Head Housemaid Danica, who warns the new maids of Zapolyarny Palace not to overreact if their plates suddenly contain lemon slices or if doodles appear beneath their teacups. The warning suggests that Vesna's playful behavior is already well known among palace staff. Rather than undermining her authority, these eccentric habits make the character feel considerably more unpredictable, especially for someone entrusted with one of Snezhnaya's most powerful military organizations.
Her loyalty, however, is portrayed as completely unquestionable. The official description makes an important distinction between social etiquette and personal honor, stating that Vesna's virtue comes from her sword rather than superficial customs. The Druzhna is described as the blade of the Tsaritsa, and Vesna as its sharpest edge. This language establishes her as someone whose commitment is defined by action, discipline and unwavering loyalty rather than appearances.
